Each investor subscribes to a fund floated by Globevestor specifically to make a single investment in the target startup. Money from all investors is pooled by the fund and the fund invests the total amount in the startup as an institution. The fund holds the share certificate or securities issued by the startup till the time of the exit. Each investor holds a counter-signed subscription agreement with the fund as proof of their investment, a fully legal document in court of law. Please refer to the terms listed in the syndicate fund to understand the charges before investing.
Just like syndicate funds, each investor subscribes to a fund floated by Globevestor with the aim of making several investments in portfolio of startups, over time. Money from all investors is pooled by the fund and the fund gradually invests the funds in several startups as an institution. The fund holds all the share certificate or securities issued by the portfolio startups till the time of respective exits. Each investor holds a counter-signed subscription agreement with the fund as proof of their investment, a fully legal document in court of law. Please refer to the terms listed in the angel fund to understand the charges before investing.
The Globevestor fund entities are domiciled in the US at this time.
Once the fund is successfully closed (reaches its target amount or closure date), investors receive the money transfer instructions over email along with a draft of the subscription agreement. Once the money from an investor is received in Globevestor's respective fund account, the subscription documents are activated for signing. The investor and Globevestor both sign the agreement and it is available for download for the investor, as a proof of his/her investment.
At present, we can accept investments from investors only through proper banking channels to ensure our compliance with anti-money laundering laws. We absolutely require that the investor make the investment using a bank account in his/her name. We do not accept cash, credit card payments, virtual currencies or any other modes of money transfer.
The investor should ensure that the legal name submitted on Globevestor, the name on the identity proof and the account holder's name in the source bank account - all these three are the same. If there's a mismatch, your investment will be rejected.
