Why global investing?
By SO Wan
Money is being created every year. The difference between each year's money supply is rate of creation. So for all the monies created, where do they go? They cann't be idle. They have to be put in use. Therefore I believe there is always a bull market somewhere. I will be there wherever it is. It is much easier to made money in bull market which may be foreign for me than trying to survive in a bear market which I am familiar with. Below is the ranking of investment categories over 20 years produced by U.S. Global Investors, a US-based fund manager.

It is obvious top-performing category of a year may not able to repeat it's performance in the next year. It is the job of investors to identify trend change as early as possible regardless of your investment style or methodology.
I hope the idea of global investing is appealing and interesting to you. Some of you may think if I am already having difficulties in making money in my local market, how do I invest in other markets? One way is invest in foreign stocks listed in your market. The other alternative is to let the professionals/fund managers to do the job for you. I know, I know, I am well aware of the issues related to funds.
